The Production Story:
In 2005, Nick Reiber came up a concept for his next movie. It was to be a story of a young man coming back to his childhood home and dealing with his father's recent death - a small, dramatic piece about loss and renewed friendships. The idea never grew beyond this rough concept, and it was eventually discarded - tucked away, perhaps, for another time.
Flash forward two years, to the early Fall of 2007, and Nick was ready to resurrect this old idea - now titled Get Back. This time, though, it came with a twist. Inspired by his recent interest in The Beatles, this former idea was now more than just a drama about a man coming home to his friends, it was a much larger story about a lost man's personal redemption, with The Beatles now providing the soundtrack. Nick presented this new idea to his friend, Mark Mushakian, and they began to discuss the details of the story. In these beginning conversations, the task of writing the movie belonged to Nick. After a couple of months of frustration and failed starts, Nick passed the job onto Mark, who then spent most of his free time writing every day. Within a month he had the first draft of the script, and after a couple of weeks of passing the draft back and forth, both Nick and Mark settled on a final version. The script was officially completed on January 28, 2008.
November 2, 2008 marked the first day of shooting, and officially ushered Get Back into production. From here on out things will be picking up steam, so be sure to watch the main page for updates and check out Mark or Nick's production blogs HERE.

"Get Back means a great deal to us, both in it's story and it's production, and we are pleased to have the help of everyone involved. We hope that you will love this movie as much as we do!"
